What does 'night-time shutoff' or 'light sensor' mean?
Most cuckoo clocks (either mechanical or battery powered) come with 'night-time shutoff' in either a manual or 'light sensor' variety. This just means that both varieties enable you to control when the clock makes sounds.
Mechanical cuckoo clocks have a manual 'night-time shutoff' which are usually a lever with 2 positions - sound on or sound off.
Battery powered cuckoo clocks usually come with an automatic 'night-time shutoff' otherwise known as a light sensor which detects light levels and disables sound when the lights are off or it is very dark. While some include volume levels as well as sound on/off positions, some models also include an option to stop the sound between the hours of 9:00pm and 8:00am.

Crafted from high quality MDF and painted in a non-toxic paint, the 'Prospettivo' is the perfect compliment to adorn the wall of a modern space such as a contemporary living room or trendy office lobby. It's steel 'spokes' mark each hour in a high contrasting red-orange and each hand is tipped in orange for that extra touch of style.

The quartz mechanism uses battery movement and is of German manufacture, however the clock is assembled by hand in Italy.
All Progetti clocks are tested for a 24-hour period prior to their shipment to ensure the highest level of quality.

Worried about your order arriving on time? Nine out of ten of our orders arrive within the estimated delivery time or even earlier. However sometimes there can be factors (such as availability and delivery location) that can affect the delivery time and lengthen it by a few days or even a week or two for some more complex models. Many of our clocks are held in stock with our suppliers but, depending on the model/brand, some are built-to-order by one of our many manufacturers in Italy, Germany, Japan or Switzerland. We appreciate your patience in such cases and we will inform you of the tracking details as soon as your order is shipped from the manufacturer or supplier.
